Here are some websites worth checking out and sharing with your friends!

Well, I can’t believe it, our trip to Kentucky is over. For those who went I think it turned out to be an awesome experience. I hope that each of you can one day make that same trip, well, maybe not skiing but at least getting to visit both the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. I can promise you it is well worth the effort.

On our first day we had an incredible amount of rain and we were figuring it might have been a great time to visit an Ark. But just like Noah and his family we were kept safe and dry inside. As we explored we found ourselves lost in our own thoughts as there was so much to take in. The sheer size of the ship, the cages for the animals, the food storage areas, it was all so amazing. Of course this is mans interpretation of scripture but still, the challenges they faced were all real and you could clearly see the protective hand of God working in the construction and use of the Ark.

The next day was split among the Creation Museum and skiing. Luckily the museum was just six miles down the road from our hotel, so we got there right at opening. As you go through the exhibits you learn more about the love and care that God has for all of us. You get to experience and learn more about the “7 C’s of History”. These are Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross, and Consummation. Each exhibit explains these points in detail. There were so many things that caught my attention, but some unique things were that during Creation there were no poisons, or venom and thorns. These were results of the Fall and sin entering the world. Again, there was just so much to experience that it is worth spending a whole day there just to read all about it.

Our last experience was our annual ski trip. Perfect North had some really nice slopes but for some of us we had as much fun tubing as we did on skies. One final thing, our annual Souper Bowl of Caring collection will take place on February 3 after the morning worship service. We hope that you will be willing to help our collection to help fight hunger in our community
